How to create color plastic plates

Hello there Gunpla fans!! This entry is quite a short one but is equally interesting. I'll teach you to produce colored plastic plates from plastic bottles you see everyday.

I came across this bottle of "mountain dew" with a neon green plastic bottle. Instantly got an idea to use that and even a greater idea when I saw that the middle section of the bottle is cylindrically flat not like other plastic bottles. Tested it out and worked perfectly.

Now, recently, I encountered the same drink, "mountain dew" but with a twist of orange. Guess what? this time, it is a neon orange glow in it.

And here's how to use these glowy bottles as plastic plates.

STEP 1: Cut the middle section of the bottle and cut it open as well

Here's what you need:
flat iron
2x white paper

a pair of scissors (not included in the picture)

STEP 2: Using 2 pieces of white paper and a flat iron, lay out the mid section on the white paper. Cover the mid section with the other white paper.

*CAUTION!* Carefully glide the flat iron across the white paper with the mid section underneath. DO NOT! I repeat, DO NOT glide slowly. it will burn the white paper and deform the mid section plastic.

Carefully glide smoothly repeatedly until the mid section plastic is flat as the floor.

Once done, Ta~da! flat mid section.

Repeating the same method to other colored plastic bottles, you can create multi colored transparent plastic plates that can basically be used to customized GUNPLA!!!.

example:

See? the once added in the knees, foot guards, chest, waist, arms and even the visor.

Now, you can upgrade your Gunpla to the fullest :D
So until next time :D
