How to make weapon handles fit to HG manipulators

How to make weapon handles fit to HG manipulators with the use of some plaplates.

Let's face it, not all HG kits have the same size with regards to their manipulators or hands for short. Some kits have large hands and some have small. This size difference also affect the size of the accessories the kit includes. 

For enthusiasts who like to customize their own kit, like me, we mix and match accessories from almost all our kits. But, problem arises when some of the smaller kit's accessories don't fit well with the bigger ones.

Here's how I managed to make the handle fit a manipulator using plaplates.

Tools:

Super Glue (mighty bond)

plaplates (0.3mm)

file (flat)

side cutters
 

The handle of this custom made cannon is loose that it doesn't fit the hands of this kit. This is how we will make a simple quick fix and make the handles fit.

STEP 1 :  File down the handle so it will be flat. This will help the plaplate stick better with super glue.

STEP 2: Plaplate addition. Cut a small strip of plaplate same width as the handle.

STEP 3 : Apply super glue on the handle and quickly slap on the plaplate strip.

STEP 4: Snip the excess plaplate with the side cutter to reduce the handle to its original size. File down the sides of the handle to make it smoother and fit better.

Ta~da!!! And now you have your weapons fit your HG kits manipulators. Now go on make some more custom weapons and kits. But first, test fit to end the day.
