How to brace a broken part (beam magnum)

In this post, I will show you how I do proper bracing for a broken accessory. Bracing you might ask is some how similar to braces that are used in the medical field, such as braces in your sheen, your arms etc.

The basics of braces is to apply a strong metal brace inside two broken parts which will help join the two broken parts together. Having braces may even be stronger than having none. But don't get me wrong here, apply braces on broken parts only. Don't destroy parts just to put braces on them.

Anyway, this would be similar to all other issues that require braces, such as broken ball joint, broken peg, or any large part that needs to be put together and stay together.

So here is how you do it.

Tools:

File (flat)
Pliers/Cutter
Pin vise (same size with your flexi wire)
Flexi wire (Galvanized wire, bought in hardware stores)
Super glue (mighty bond)

How to tighten a loose joint/peg

An alternate way to tighten up pegs on your kit and avoid loose parts.

This is a common issue with a lot of Gunpla kits. Some refer to them as having a loose joint or peg.
Enthusiasts and Hobbyists do have a fix for loose joints and pegs with the use of good old house glue but I'm going to show you an almost permanent alternate solution.

This, in my opinion is better since good old glue is not water proof. Once good old glue becomes wet due to some reasons, it reverts back to its original form which is all gooey and sticky.

In this post,  we will be using super glue or quick dry glue. The reason that this is better is once applied, the super glue may some how becomes a plastic like material that's going to stick to the loos peg or joint.

How to make weapon handles fit to HG manipulators

How to make weapon handles fit to HG manipulators with the use of some plaplates.

Let's face it, not all HG kits have the same size with regards to their manipulators or hands for short. Some kits have large hands and some have small. This size difference also affect the size of the accessories the kit includes.

For enthusiasts who like to customize their own kit, like me, we mix and match accessories from almost all our kits. But, problem arises when some of the smaller kit's accessories don't fit well with the bigger ones.

Here's how I managed to make the handle fit a manipulator using plaplates.

Tools:
Super Glue (mighty bond)
plaplates (0.3mm)
file (flat)
side cutters

How to fix RG Zeta Gundam broken shoulder joint

Quick fix to make the shoulder joint stable and stronger for RG Zeta Gundam

Some say that RG Zeta is the most unstable or most flimsy RG kit ever. I beg to differ, because it is stable enough to stand and carry loads of accessories like other RG kits. Others also mention that this kit has a lot of  "issues" with its Advanced Joint Frame. In this post, we will deal with one of the most common issue of the RG Zeta gundam kit, which is its SHOULDER JOINT.

Usually, the shoulder joint is exposed to a lot of stress due to the kit's transformation gimmick. And for enthusiasts like us, especially to those who are having a hard time understanding the transformation sequence, IF DONE wrong, the shoulder joint would probably snap in two and will leave your kit messed up. Technically, the shoulder joint is the only thing keeping the arms connected to the main body.

When this happen to your kit, these are the step-by-step guide you may follow in order to fix the shoulder joint.

Disclaimer though, Do expect that the kit may not be 100% working as of before, and end up around 90% or 95% workable after the fix. I usually say, "50% or higher, of something is better than nothing." Its like, for me, its better to be working at 90/95% rather than seeing the kit as scrap.

So here's how we can fix the problem.

Tools:
Super Glue (mighty bond)
Paper Clip (depends on your preference on which size to use, but preferably a small one)
Needle File (flat)
Pin Vise (size: same size with your paper clip)
Side Cutter or Pliers (to cut the paper clip)
